The City of Springdale is updating their comprehensive Master Trail Plan. The trail system would provide access from local neighborhoods to schools, parks, businesses, and downtown destinations.
Specific points of interest include the Jones Center, Shiloh Museum, Arts Center of the Ozarks, and City Administration Building.
The plan includes a regional trail system that would provide connection to adjacent communities. Following Spring Creek, the regional trail would offer self directed recreation opportunities in a natural setting.
The proposed trail system would be connected by sixteen strategically located trailheads that provide access within a one mile radius.
Trailhead amenities would include park benches, drinking fountains, parking, landscaping, picnic tables, and kiosks with trail mapping information, and ADA compliant restrooms at some locations.
Shiloh Square, located downtown on Emma Avenue, would serve as a regional trailhead and would include space for public events including Farmers Market, art exhibits, concerts, weekend movies, cook-offs, performing arts, and seasonal festivals. |
