Springdale Rodeo participant, 1945. One of the region's oldest events, the Rodeo of the Ozarks began in July 1945 as the Springdale Rodeo. It was so popular organizers decided to make the rodeo a part of the town's annual Fourth of July celebration. Today, the rodeo is held July 1-4 and attracts some of the top cowboys of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Visit the Rodeo of the Ozarks website for more information.
