Annabel
Applegate Searcy, ca. 1920. She
and her husband Lockwood Searcy were a prominent Springdale couple actively
involved with local civic groups and historic preservation efforts. Originally
from Rogers, Annabel was a librarian at the Springdale Public Library
and a driving force behind the founding and development of the Shiloh
Museum. The Searcys donated their house to the museum in 1980 and it
is being used today to help tell the story of Springdale in the late
1940s.
