Rogers Historical Museum director Gaye Bland shares this information from the Sept. 23, 1909 issue of the Rogers Democrat: May Leake formerly of Exeter, MO, is going to open a "new and up-to-date" hotel in the old "Oakley cottage" at Second and Poplar to be called the Beverly.
