Stoneware pitcher, 1800s.

Tempe White of the Stoney Point community (near Johnson in Washington County) passed this pitcher down to her daughter-in-law, Viola, in 1936, telling Viola the pitcher was "100 years old."

This type of pitcher was commonly found in Ozark households from 1830-1910.

Donated by Viola White
