Springdale Roller Rink label, 1950s.
The rink was located on Highway 71 near present-day Neal’s Café, and promised "proper supervision" at "the largest and most modern rink in Northwest Arkansas." The rink was also used as a concert venue (see news ad at right) featuring local talent and occasionally, big-name stars such as Hank Thompson and Leon McAuliffe.

In the early 1950s the Springdale Roller Rink was managed by R.A. Norton, then by Joyce and Bobby Thompson. Ralph and Della Crites took over the business in 1959. They moved the rink out to Highway 68 E (present day Highway 412) in 1963 and operated there until the early 1980s.
