Bluff Cemetery

Bluff Cemetery (north of the museum on Shiloh Street) is the final resting place for many who contributed to the history of Northwest Arkansas. Burials began there sometime after the Civil War. There are many fine examples of tombstones, including the hand-carved Rathfon monument (pictuerd below), and the Jobelle Holcomb monument of Georgia marble. The massive Farrar monument, made of Vermont granite, required a team of eight horses to pull it to the cemetery.
