History of the Springdale Police Department
 

The Springdale Police Department began on March 1, 1952 under the leadership of Chief Wayne Hyden.  Prior to this, law enforcement for Springdale consisted of a town Marshal.  The police department grew from two officers in 1952 to today's level of 105 sworn officers and 46 civilian support personnel.  The department is currently led by Chief Kathy O'Kelley.
