*** There is an Ordinance Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 13th at 5:00 p.m., followed by a Police & Fire Committee meeting at 5:30 p.m. before council meeting, upstairs in the Multi-purpose Room #236 in the City Administration Building(The ordinance meeting is concerning sale of fireworks (see agenda item8-A) and the trash ordinance for multiple residential units). (The police & fire meeting is to discuss the purchase of extrication equipment (see agenda item 9-a).  (food will be provided).

7.         Planning & Community Development Division by Planning Director Patsy Christie:

 

A. A Resolution authorizing the mayor to file an application for an individual permit under the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Storm Water Program.  (The information packet was handed out at the last meeting). 

 

8.         Planning Commission Recommendations by Planning Director Patsy Christie:

 

A.      An Ordinance rezoning 95.5 feet of Lot 5 of Holcomb’s Second Addition, owned by Jose and Maritsa Sandoval, from Heavy Commercial and Limited Industrial District (I-1) to Neighborhood Commercial District (C-1). 

 

B.     An Ordinance accepting the Final Plat of the Replat of Crestridge Subdivision, to the City of Springdale, Arkansas, and declaring an emergency.

 

C.     An Ordinance accepting the Final Plat of the Replat of Lot 29A and the Replat of Lot 25B of the Del’s Woods Subdivision, to the City of Springdale, Arkansas, and declaring an emergency.

 

D.     An Ordinance accepting a new addition to the City of Springdale, Arkansas to be known as Phase XVII of Har-Ber Meadows Planned Unit Development  to the City of Springdale, Arkansas, and declaring an emergency.

 

E.     An Ordinance rezoning 9.09 + acres owned by Donald Gibson located on the south side of Emma Avenue between Upton Lane and Monitor Road from Agricultural District (A-1) to General Commercial  District (C-2).

 

F.      An Ordinance rezoning 12.11 + acres owned by Glade L. & Christina Williamson located west of Butterfield Coach Road and northwest of Parson Road from Agricultural District (A-1) to Medium/High Density Multi-Family Residential District (MF-16).

 

G.     An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3307, rezoning 14 acres owned by Charles J. Fowler, Frankie C. Fowler, and Stephen R. Fowler located on the east side of Highway 265 south of Signature Square from Agricultural District (A-1) to Light Industrial District (I-1).

 

H.     Request by Northeast Meadows, L.L.C. to donate a portion of property to the City of Springdale

 

I.         An Ordinance accepting the Final Plat of Paradise Valley Phase II to the City of Springdale, Arkansas, and declaring an emergency.

 

9.         An Ordinance Committee Report and Recommendations by Chairman Billy Eden

 

A.      An Ordinance amending Section 46-56, “Fireworks” in the Code of Ordinances for the City of Springdale, Arkansas, to allow for the sale of certain fireworks under certain conditions in the City of Springdale, Arkansas; and for other purposes.  Presented by Jeff Williams

 

10.       Police & Fire Committee Report and Recommendations by Chairman Eric Ford

 

A.      An Ordinance authorizing the Fire Department to participate in an EMS Grant with the Arkansas Department of Health to purchase extrication equipment and to purchase stabilization kits for extrication purposes; to waive competitive bidding; to declare an emergency and for other purposes. 

 

11.       A Resolution approving a budget amendment for the Fire Department, Police Department and the Parks Department.  Presented by Wyman Morgan, Director of Administration & Financials Services.

 

12.       A Resolution authorizing the temporary operation of a circus.  Presented by Wyman Morgan, Director of Administration & Financial Services.

 

13.       A Resolution authorizing the temporary operation of a traveling reptile show.  Presented by Wyman Morgan, Director of Administration & Financial Services.

***There is a Parks & Recreation Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 15th at noon, at the Youth Center.  This meeting will be concerning the 10-year Park Plan.  (food will be provided)

 

*** There is a Street & Capital Improvement Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 20th at 12:00 noon, upstairs in the Multi-purpose Room #236 in the City Administration Building. (food will be provided)

 

***There is a Joint Work Session with the Planning Commission & City Council scheduled for Thursday, May 20th at 5:00 p.m., upstairs in the Multi-purpose Room #236 in the City Administration Building.  At 5:00 discussion will be the Parking for Multi-Family residences and at 5:30 it will be the proposed modification to The Commons Planned Unit Development.  (snacks will be provided).
