*** There is an Ordinance Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 11th at 5:00 p.m., followed by a Health & Sanitation Committee meeting at 5:30 p.m., before council meeting, upstairs in the Multi-purpose Room #236 in the City Administration Building. (The Ordinance meeting is concerning street solicitation and a proposed ordinance requiring certain proposed ordinances of the city to be referred to the Ordinance Committee for consideration before presentation to full council, The Health & Sanitation meeting is concerning portable toilets in subdivisions and utilizing the auxiliary officers & prisoners for street trash pick up).  (food will be provided)

8.                  Planning Commission Recommendations by Planning Director Patsy Christie:

 

A.     An Ordinance accepting a replat of a new addition to the City of Springdale, Arkansas, to be known as the Replat of Lots 1 & 2 of the Palmer-Freeman Addition, a subdivision to the City of Springdale, Arkansas, and declaring an emergency.

 

B.     An Ordinance rezoning 1.98 + acres owned by David A. and Jean S. Ruff located at 3865 S. Old Missouri Road from Agricultural District (A-1) to Low Density Residential District (R-1) and Thoroughfare Commercial District (C-2).

 

C.    An Ordinance rezoning .50 + acres owned by Valley Harvest Ministries, Inc. located at 1517 West Emma from Low Density Residential District (R-1) to Medium Density Residential District (R-M).

 

D.    An Ordinance rezoning 53.81 acres owned by George & Son’s Ltd., Partnership, located at the northwest corner of the intersection of 40th Street and Luvene Avenue from Agricultural District (A-1) to Planned Unit Development District (PUD).

 

9.                  Street and Capital Improvement Committee Report and Recommendations by Chairman Rick Evans:

 

A. A Resolution establishing projects to be completed under the Capital Improvement Program and approving other expenditures to be funded by the Capital Improvement Fund.

 

10.             Ordinance Committee Report and Recommendations by Chairman Billy Eden:

 

A. An Ordinance requiring certain proposed ordinances of the City of Springdale, Arkansas be referred to the Ordinance Committee for consideration, before presentation to the full City Council of Springdale, Arkansas. 

 

11.             Health & Sanitation Committee Report & Recommendations by Chairman Ray Dotson:

 

12.             An Ordinance authorizing the Fire Chief to purchase six (6) automatic external defibrillators (AED) and battery support systems; to waive competitive bidding, to declare an emergency, and for other purposes.  Presented by Fire Chief Duane Atha.

 

13.             An Ordinance amending certain sections of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Springdale, Arkansas, pertaining to the office of the City Attorney of Springdale, Arkansas.  Presented by City Attorney Jeff C. Harper.

 

14.             A Resolution authorizing contract execution for street paving services for 2003.  Presented by Public Works Director Sam Goade.
