6.         Street and Capital Improvement Committee Report and Recommendations by Chairman Rick Evans:

 

A.     A Resolution authorizing contract negotiations with selected firms for professional engineering services.

 

B.     A Resolution authorizing the mayor and city clerk to execute a contract amendment with McGoodwin, Williams, and Yates for engineering services on the McRay-Gutensohn Drainage Improvement Project.

 

C.    A Resolution authorizing the expenditure of funds from the Capital Improvement Program for construction of improvements to Backus Avenue near Silent Grove Road.

 

D.  A Resolution expressing the willingness of the City of Springdale, Arkansas to utilize Federal Aid Enhancement Funds for the Downtown Emma Project.

 

7.         Ordinance Committee Report by Chairman Billy Eden:

 

8.         An Ordinance approving the purchase of a bomb suit for the Springdale Police Department; to waive competitive bidding and for other purposes.  Presented by Police Chief Mikel Blocker.

 

9.         An Ordinance authorizing the Chief of Police to purchase a 1999 Ford crown Victoria from B & M Auto Sales in Springdale, Arkansas; to waive competitive bidding and for other purchases.   Presented by Police Chief Mikel Blocker.

 

10.       A Resolution reappointing Todd Wood to the Library Board of the City of Springdale.  Presented by Mayor Jerre M. Van Hoose.

 

11        Final Report on the Traffic Signalization Study presented by Peters and Associates; Ernie Peters and Public Works Director Sam Goade.
