All commercial building Designer/contractors:

The Springdale Building Inspection Department charges a Plan review Fee. The fee is based on the recommended fee schedule of Chapter 22 of the City of Springdale Code of Ordinances.

The fee shall be equal to one-half of the building permit fee. This plan review fee is in addition to the permit fee. 

The plan review fee shall be paid at the time of issuance of the building permit. Also, find enclosed a check list for requirements for all plan submittal. The procedure will be to leave your drawings, specifications: answer the review write-ups you receive and once discrepancies are resolved, pick-up your permit and pay the calculated fee. 

To arrive at your permit fee and review fee we will be using a standard square foot evaluation based on Occupancy Group of your proposed building and type of construction. If you are remodeling and have a written contract we can consider that dollar figure for permit fee calculation. 

Example: 5000 SF Business office Type V-B, unprotected construction.

Using the valuation Data (International Code Council), find group (Business) in the left hand column and follow that across to Type of Construction V-B to find that the minimum cost per Sq.ft for a Business Occupancy and Construction type VB is $104.41 per Sq.ft. 

5000 SF X $104.41= 522,020.00
PERMIT FEE =1706.00
PLAN REVIEW = 853.00 (1/2 of permit fee)
PLUS ACT 474 = not to exceed $1000.00
PERMIT BOX $4.00

TOTAL FEES = $2563.00 + ACT 474
